Who we are

Local Ear (www.localear.com) is a location-first platform helping people discover events, activities and experiences happening around them. You can contact us at hello@localear.com.

What we collect

When you complete our organiser feedback form we collect your organisation’s name, type and general location (town or postcode), your answers about events and promotion, and your contact details: name, optional role, email address and optional phone number. We also record whether you opted in to launch updates and when.

How we use it

• To understand how organisers promote events and to shape Local Ear before launch.
• If you asked for a demo or to hear more, to contact you about that request.
• Only if you ticked the launch-updates box, to send occasional launch updates and invitations to try the platform.

We rely on your request (for demos) and your consent (for launch updates). Our legitimate interest in improving our product covers the analysis of anonymous survey responses.

Sharing and storage

We never sell your data. Your information is stored securely with our hosting providers and is only accessible to the Local Ear team. We keep feedback for as long as it’s useful to develop the platform, and no longer than 24 months unless you become a customer.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw consent to launch updates at any time, by emailing hello@localear.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
